The idea of camping at Camp Gold Coast is to chill out and have fun. Watch the sun greet you from the mountains. Feel the white sands under your bare feet. Laze around, sit, relax and dip your feet in the cool waters of the River Ganges. Play beach games like volley ball, frisbee, water polo etc. Enjoy bird spotting in the surrounding Sal forests that attract an impressive variety of bird life or explore and discover nature through guided walks and day hikes. Loosen up for the evening with dancing and singing session around bon- fires.

 

    

 

Adventure activities

The rock-face at the campsite gives numerous options for the adrenaline junkies to experience the thrills of adventure and team building activities. Here you can push the limits of your skill and strength. Rock climb all the way up and gaze at the scenery once you have perched safely at the top. Now you need to learn how to land safely back from where you set off by rappelling. You see, what goes up must come down!

 

    

 

River rafting

Zip up your life jackets, snap the helmet on, grab the paddles and get set for the descent. Ask any outdoor enthusiast, and chances are good that River rafting is on his or her Top 10 Adventure wish list. The gush of the rapids, the tantalizing swirls, lashing of water against the raft and the adrenaline pumping through your blood stream is what river rafting in the Himalayas is all about. Without a doubt, it is also the most exhilarating way to experience the river Ganges running through some of the most beautiful terrains - from sandy white beaches and boulder studded rapids to some of the most revered Indian temple towns. Not only that. You can also do kayaking, cliff jumping and body surfing in the cool crispy waters. Rafting Trips are organized from the camp in the season of February to May and September to November.

 

Safety

Camp Gold Coast being the biggest Rafting Camp of the country (320000sq. mtrs) is run with a motive to promote Eco Tourism in the area.

 

All necessary precautions are taken at every step of the activities to make sure that it’s always fun for everyone. First aid kits are available at every point of time and place in and around the camp. The camp staff and instructors are well versed with first Aid administration. A doctor on call and a vehicle is always available at the camp for emergencies.
