The Mercury Himalayan Explorations (MHE) Beach Camp is located on a silver sand beach on the banks of the Holy Ganges, 14 Kms upstream of the holy city of Rishikesh (Uttaranchal, India). The camp is nestled in the virgin forests of the Great Himalayan foothills and is the only one to be situated on the far side of the river offering a unique access, only by boat. With the river on one side and protected forest on the other, the beach camp provides for an unspoiled and exclusive atmosphere for camping, relaxation and adventure sports.

Day 01 : Arrival at Jungle Camp early morning for breakfast and change into your rafting gear. 20 minute drive to Marine drive. White water rafting from Marine Drive to Beach Camp, negotiating small but exciting rapids like Cash Flow, Black Money, Three Blind Mice, Camp Rapid and Return to Sender. Hot lunch and a warm welcome await you at the Beach Camp. Afternoon of relaxation or a range of adventure activities: Kayaking, Beach Volleyball, Ropes Courses, Burma Bridge, River Crossing, Flying Fox & Rappelling. Campfire, singsong and cocktail snacks are followed by a sumptuous dinner. Over night stay in deluxe tents.
Day 02 : An early morning wake up call with hot water to enjoy the clean mountain air and the misty Ganga valley. Early morning stroll through the dense tropical foliage. Return to camp for a well deserved hot breakfast. Approximately 1100 hrs white water rafting from the Beach Camp to NIM Beach, grade III and IV rapids like the Roller Coaster and Golf Course. Body surfing, cliff jumping and sunbathing on the rafts while you gently float down towards the pull out point at N.I.M. beach. Your hot buffet lunch spread with tea and coffee will await your arrival. Post lunch get ready for onward journey.

Day 03 We save the biggest for the last. Today is an early start after breakfast at 0700 hrs. We drive for 45 minutes to our put in point at Kaudiyala. Today, we will negotiate some of the most thrilling rapids on the Ganga. Starting with Daniel’s Dip we finish with a grand finale to your entire trip when we negotiate The Wall. The latter half of your trip is a scenic float through some of the most beautiful landscape in the foothills of the Himalayas. Finish rafting at Marine Drive. Drive back to the MHE Beach Camp for a hot lunch before commencing your homeward journey.

Camp Panther, one of the most luxurious campsites on the Ganga, is set up on 03 acres of terraced fields in Shivpuri village near Rishikesh (Uttaranchal, India) and is about a six-hour drive from New Delhi. The ridges surrounding the camp are covered with a thick Sal forest and the thatched Gazebos Golghars at camp form the center point for your relaxed evenings.
Additional facilities in camp panther include a swimming pool and a conference room. We also have built an artificial climbing wall for our more adventurous guests.
The comfortable safari tents here have attached utilities and are equipped with fans. Along with power and power back up facility, Camp Panther offers a comfortable holiday out of doors.

How to Reach : |
By Road: Delhi - Meerut bye pass - Khatauli - Muzaffar Nagar bye pass - Roorkee - Haridwar. Once you cross Haridwar, drive towards Rishikesh. Our campsite, Leopard Beach Tented Camp is situated 16 kms ahead of Rishikesh at Shivpuri village. It is situated on the Devprayag-Badrinath road.
By Rail: Haridwar is the nearest railhead for Shivpuri. There are three trains from Delhi for Haridwar.

River Rafting - Stretches of the upper Ganga right down to Rishikesh, offer some of the most exciting white water river running in the world from Grade I to V. Extremely popular with those seeking the thrills of river running & kayaking. Float trips for the less adventurous.
Trekking : Light treks through the lush sal and deciduous forests, past quaint villages and gushing streams. The lower Himalayan Garhwal hills are known for its birdlife and abundant wildlife, fun treks to the haunted house and the Leopard trail are most popular.
Meditation & Yoga : Rishikesh is known for its ashrams and yoga centres. Solace seekers from all over the world come to the banks of the holy Ganga to spend time in meditation and repose.
Wildlife : Elephant back safaries at Chilla national park or Rajaji national park between Haridwar and Rishikesh. |

Day 01: Arrive Ganga Banks By lunch. Check into river side tents / cottages. After lunch proceed for the first rafting trip from Marine drive to the camp. Our experienced staff including trip leader and guides receives you here. After a session of briefing by the Trip leader we start an interesting encounter on rapids like Good Morning, LMT , Three blind mice, for over 2-3 hrs. Evening free to enjoy beach volleyball. Optional trek to haunted house. Evening tea/ snacks. Dinner & overnight tents / cottages.
Day 02: After breakfast, we start our second encounter with mighty river Ganga toinclude rapids like Micky, Shivpuri, Golf Course, and Roller Coaster etc for 3-4 hrs including Cliff jumping. Pull out at Neem Beach . Drive back to the camp / hotel. Enroute try rock climbing & rappelling on natural rock face. Evening tea/snacks. Dinner & overnight tents / cottages
Day 03: Early morning trek to leopards trail. Return by breakfast. After breakfast depart Ganga Banks

Accommodation: The camp provides accommodation in Large Luxury Swiss cottage tents ((12’ x 12’). Each tent has two cots with comfortable bedding and quilts. The tents have attached bathrooms with running water. The toilets are dry pit with western seats and are clean and convenient.
Food: The camp has a full-fledged kitchen that provides you with hot multi-cuisine meals apart from all the cups of tea / coffee you might want. |

Paragliding & Mountain Biking - (minimum of 4 pax required)
Drive down from the camp to Khandisyan. From here mountain bike 5 kms to our Paragliding site through unpaved terrains. Here you could take tandem joy rides with our professional instructors. The joyrides would be for 1½ to 2 mins or more.
Post the paragliding activity, you would be dropped back to Khandisyan from where you bike down on paved roads (slim traffic) to Deoprayag for 32 kms for a pure downhill thrill.

Mountain Biking - (minimum of 4 pax required)
The surroundings of the camp provides beautiful stretches for mountain biking. The bikers will be dropped off at Buakhal (1800 m), about 6 kms from Pauri (1750 m) and 2 hrs drive from the camp. It’s a beautifully curvy ride down unpaved trails, all the way to Chamdar (1200 m), on the banks of the Alaknanda river. You pass villages like Khirsu (1850 m), Bugani and Dewalgarh. The section is very thin in human population and you get wonderful views of the snow clad Himalayan peaks during the trip.

Upper Alaknanda(Gauchar to Rudraprayag) – Drive from base camp to Gauchar, 68 kms away. Raft from here to Rudraprayag, an 18 kms stretch. Experience Khakar rapid which is a Class IV rapid.
White Water Class range: III to IV
Raft time: 3½-4 hrs
Camp to Camp time: 0800 – 1700 hrs
Upper Alakhnanda (Gauchar to Dharidevi) – Drive from base camp to Gauchar, 68 kms away. Raft from here to Dharidevi, a 32 kms stretch. Experience Khakar rapid and Rocky Brothers rapids which are high on the list of great rapids to run.

Day 1: Arrive at the camp by 0800 hrs. After breakfast, RAFT from the Camp to Deoprayag (22 kms/3 hrs) through exciting Class II and III rapids. Return to the camp at the end of the rafting stretch for a late lunch. Post lunch relax in the camp and towards evening, head out for a session of rock climbing and rappelling under the watchful eyes of our instructors. At night enjoy bonfire and dinner by the riverside.
Day 2: Early in the morning, set out on a trek (2-3 hrs) in the surrounding jungle or along the river banks. Return to the camp for breakfast and post breakfast head out for a session of BRIDGE SLITHERING (slither down into the river from a 70 ft high bridge across the river). Lunch at the camp followed by departure to your onward destination.
3 Days / 2 Night - Rs. 6400 per person Group Rates On Request
Day 1: Arrive at the camp by 0800 hrs. After breakfast, drive up to Kirtinagar (7 kms) and here indulge in BRIDGE SLITHERING (slither down into the river from a 70 ft high bridge across the river). After the activity, drive further up to Srikot and from here RAFT down till the camp for late lunch. In the evening, relax at the camp by the riverside. In the night, bonfire and dinner by the riverside.
Day 2: After breakfast, raft down from the camp till Deoprayag (22 kms/3 hrs). This is an exciting run on the river where you would encounter a number of Class II & III rapids and finally ending the run at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Return to the camp at the end of the rafting stretch for a late lunch. Post lunch relax in the camp with a game of beach volleyball, cricket, etc. At night, enjoy bonfire and dinner by the riverside.
Day 3: Early in the morning, set out on a trek (2-3 hrs) in the surrounding jungle or along the river banks. Return to the camp for breakfast and post breakfast head out for a session of ROCK CLIMBING & RAPPELLING. Lunch at the camp followed by departure to your onward destination.
